I LOVE marshmallow treats! But first, you guys let me introduce you to pandan. It’s an extract that’s used in a ton of Asian desserts. It has the most beautiful aroma and a gorgeous green hue and once you smell it you’ll be able to identify it in most dishes. I’m using pandan in this rice crispy recipe as a replacement for vanilla and green food coloring. All I can say is WOW! They are delicious.

Some tips for making the perfect ooey gooey rice crispy treats…don’t burn the butter and marshmallows and don’t pack the delicate rice crispy bits into the pan to harden. It’s gotta be a gentle process 🙂
